CONTACT US The Beach House is owned and managed by Merrise Crooks-Bishton and her husband Derek Bishton. Merrise is a Jamaican who has lived and worked for many years in England where she is a college lecturer in basic skills and literacy. She has written and published a number of literacy books - including the Rocky Basic Readers, which focus on aspects of Jamaican life and culture. Derek is a senior editor with The Daily Telegraph newspaper in London. He is the author of a book about the historical origins of the Rastafarian movement - Black Heart Man |
- and has interviewed and photograped many
of Jamaica's most famous reggae singers.
Some of his images are on display at the Beach
House. Together they have enjoyed many very happy visits and family holidays in Jamaica over the past 25 years. Their mission with the Beach House is to give others an opportunity to experience the magic and beauty that a Jamaican holiday can offer. The Beach House is available for holiday rentals and for functions such as weddings and family celebrations.
